I'm a little perplexed. The Cyclone is still new to me. I've been riding a motarded DR650 for three years. A couple of times I could feel my boots grinding during cornering. Not used to that. Anyway, I noticed a substantial scrape on the exhaust header. It doesnt seem plausable to me that that was done during riding but I can't see how else it got there. Has anybody scraped the header while leaned over?
Also, a couple times I noticed the front wheel slide out and recatch, very forgiving and undramatic. Never slid the front on the motard.

Berni the only time that I have been able to scrape my headers was a high side on the interstate back in 2000.

I guess anything is possible... but I've never scraped the stock header or the race header on my M2 while it was still on rubber.

M2 pegs are just too low for spirited riding in the twisties. Fortunately, it's easy and inexpensive to raise them with peg risers on M2's up to 2000. It puts them in about the same location as an X1 and is a good compromise between everyday street comfort and the twisties.

I had the same issue with the front end pushing and 'catching' during really tight cornering. Decreasing the front sag (to 1") and dropping the forks 5/16" of an inch in the triple clamps helped this quite a bit. I also increased the level of the fork oil to the upper end of the specs. This changed the pushing and catching to more a constant drift when I'm really pushing it in the tight stuff.

I don't want to be the guy bragging about riding prowess, I just can't account for the big scrape that didn't used to be there. I know the one time on an off ramp I was keeled way over and then hit a dip where both ends slammed down. I'll get over it.

No. Actually, I needed somebody to corroberate that the Cyclone will scrape the exhaust at full lean. That doesnt appear to be the case. I just hate to go ass over tea kettle. Looks like the footpegs are the limiting factor. I changed one of the exhaust gaskets recently, maybe I was a little rough moving the header around on the shop floor.
