i had a 6.5 foot ecmspy cable....because i was sitting on my bike with my laptop tuning it...and not paying attention to where the vibrations of the engine running had made the cable loops fall... i now have a 4 foot cable..... well i guess thats better than needing to buy an ecm and a new cable....
luckily i did not have to do either just trimmed the cable back and made a few soldering joints in the three wires that interface the diagnostic plug....
just a warning watch where your loops fall....
loops + cable = BAD....

Try doing that to a $200 Digital Technician cable that the whole shop relies on. That really sucks, and you can't solder it back together. I'm glad you were able to save it!

Or, you can lay your inner wrist up against a red hot X1 headpipe, right up by the head. It doesn't even hurt. (till it starts healing)

Actually, the scar was minimal. The smell?
Forever.
