I recently picked up a old d&d style can for my 97 cyclone. The can i have now is a carbon fiber v&h and i wanted something a bit louder. The v&h is connected to the elbow via 2 springs. Do i need a new elbow piece to get the d&d to work? And if i do, anyone know where i can get one? Thanks | ||

The elbow is part of the V&H. If the D&D requires an elbow, it's probably for either a race header (2.5"), or an S2 (which had a built-in elbow in 2"). I have a V&H on my S1W. Take the endcap off and unwrap the stuffing, so all you have is the perforated core. You may have to rejet, but it'll definitely be louder  | ||

I replaced a V&H with D&D pipe. My V&H pipe and elbow were one piece, so I called D&D and they sold me just the elbow. American Sport Bike can probably get you what you need as well | ||

Ill give al a call on monday. I know d&d discontinued the pipe i have now, its an older megaphone style pipe, but I was planning on mounting it with some sort of isolator system and hopefully it will last. Thanks for the help |
