Hello, I'm Kimberlee from Henderson, NV and I am now a dual-Buell babe.
I just bought a 1996 Parkway Blue S2 to go with my Sunset Orange P3.

I was just drawn to this bike. I love the looks of it. I was reading here
about how the Buell factory was originally on Meyer lane which is really
cool since that is also my last name!

I have to now learn to ride a big girl's bike. I did ride before I bought it
but I have to learn how to get on and off it without someone holding it up.
I'm just under 5'7" and 125lbs so it is a bit of a challenge. I may have to buy
some high heal riding boots. : ) I am definitely gonna have to bend the kickstand,
it makes me nervous.

I'm sure I'll be back soon asking a lot
of newbie questions.

Very cool!
Your gonna love the S2. It's COMPLETELY different from the Blast.
Make sure the tires are not flat spotted from highway running. They don't like that.

Kimberlee:

That is indeed correct . . . .it was Meyer Lane and the name was changed by the Village of East Troy when Buell built the 2719 Buell Drive building.

The S2 is a fabulous bike, a piece of art and rolling history. It is one of the most amazing motorcycles to ride . . . I've ridden one through 44 states . . . including a number of trips to Henderson!

By the way. . . if you see a gal on a BMW in your neighborhood it's like Britta one of the famed BMW distance riders.

Welcome to the madness and fire away with any questions you have.

Kimberlee - to answer your latest VIN question, there won't be a "CA" in the number to denote a Cali bike. I don't recall if there is a designator digit - Court? - but since the bike is showing first registered in California according to Buell, it likely has the California emissions controls and the quicksilver carburetor. Or at least, it did.

To echo the above - you're gonna love the S2. You've been *riding* the Blast...you're going to become one with the S2 : )
