I'm looking at replacing with either Pirelli Strada or Bridge BT021 Most of my ride is used for commuting so I wear out the center before the edges. I've heard rave reviews of the Strada but the new dual compound BT-021 intrigues me. I've liked the Dunlop D208, D220 and D205's, but didn't really care for the Bridge BT-020 that I have now. What say you on these two tires (Strada or BT-021)? | ||

never used either but Pirelli sounds better in a conversation  . BTW I run Pirelli Diablos on my S2. They hold the road better than the Dunlops did; I'm very happy with the results. I ran Bridgestone BT-45s on my sportster and really liked them over Dunlops K591s but I only got the BT-45s 'cuz Pirelli Sport Demons were on backorder and had to have tires asap. | ||

I put a BT021 on the back of my S3T and I love it. I have about 3k on it since I put it on and I'm getting WAY better wear than any other tire I've had on any of my Buells. I'm not an extremely aggressive rider but my chicken strips are smaller than most. The bestest part of the deal is that I got the Bridgestone for a lot less than the comparable alternatives and it's "for sure" a great tire. I will be getting another }when this one needs to be replaced. | ||

I have had many Bridgestone tires... seem to cup the fronts really early... just my 2 cents worth... I currently have Pirelli Diablos on my s1 and I like them so far. My dad also just put on the Continental Road Attack and he loves them... they are on a ZRX1100. | ||

Currently running Pirelli Diablo Strada on my S3T. I'm really happy with them. Ran the Bridgestone BT45 on my Sportster also, cupping on the front tire was a problem for me also. | ||

I have had both Bridgestones and Pirelli's. Now, not the same models but, the Pirellis have always got more mileage and less cupping better grip and feel as well as "speaking" to me on the front. I guess the term is feedback. Iam partial to the Corsa and now the Synchs. Some like the firm feel of the Bridges but I think they are a little "wooden" in terms of communication. Enough? I think so..............buy dem eye-talyun tars. | ||

New stuff from Bridgestone, BT016 tricompound,yea three different densities on one tire. So far the feedback from my customers has been off-the-hook, long wear and very grabby in a bank, something to look into! | ||

The best tyre for wear that I've used is the Michelin Pilot Road 2. great grip, dual compound. 9500 km, that's nearly 6000 miles out of my last rear. Bridgestone BT 014 about 5 to 6000 km. Bridgestone BT021, not even close. Maybe 4000 km about 2500 miles. | ||

2500 miles from the BT021??? That's all I got from the Dunlop sport D208 compound! Can you confirm that you indeed had the multi-compound tread or perhaps you have the BT-020 or BT-010??? If indeed you had the -021, where did the wear come from, sides or center? Thx. | ||

I've had both now! The Bridgestone BT021's were good tires, but wore out faster than I wanted. Now I have the Strada's and I love them. Tons of grip in all weather conditions, and they're holding up great! | ||

I put a michelin pilot on mine as well. Like it so far. It also claims the dual compound. My old tire was so shot that this is like having a new bike so I don't have much to compare it to but I do like the tire. | ||

i have a set of stradas on the 1125 and the s2, both of which are giving better mileage than any other tire i have used. the 1125 is at 7200 miles with a homecoming and Indy trip and two track days. feedback and grip are excellent. the s2 isn't getting as much seat time right now and i probably have 2500 on that set. +++ tim | ||

The BT021 rear only is dual compound, but in comparisons still is a soft tire...sticky but not good for mileage on an aggressively ridden bike. | ||

Thanks for the input -- I'll be getting the Strada. I really don't like the "wooden" feel of the Bridge (that's a great description for them). Metz and Mich are okay, but IMO Dunlops felt better, especially on track days the D208 were very confidence inspiring and best of all they have a nice "drop in" feel to the corners that I like. Sloppy, it was definitely a BT 021 as I have been through a few BT 014s. It wore in the centre and is the lowest mileage tyre I have used. I do live in the country and nearly all my miles are long straightish runs at speed in relatively (to you guys) hot conditions. A cold day in winter here would be about 50 degrees F. Middle of summer up to 115 degrees F or so. | ||

Pirellis are the best tires I've ever used IMO. You won't regret getting the Stradas. You should try the Diablo IIIs sometime too. | ||

I am running Conti Road attacks on my XBs. I got 5000 or so out of the first rear and am up to 7000 or so on the first front. Last weeked I was slinging Conti Road Attacks around the track. The interesting part is I was haninging with another Buell on race slicks... It also rained that weekend at the track. They were still grippy in the wet. | ||

Man i had a safety and emission shop tried to fail my coni race attack street tires when they were new! They are a slicks just about lol. i love this tire doesnt last to long but its worth every penny! | ||

Stickieness on the track and wear on the street are two different worlds,where the Dunlop Qualifier is VERY nice on the track a Bridgestone Battlax is better on the road, or for that matter any dual compound. |
