OK long story short i bought a very low mileage 1999 carbon edition x1 (3349 miles to be exact) for 3500 usd. The bike is bone stock except for a K&N filter. The guy who owned the bike was scared of it that is why i got it so cheap. Well i have been logging a few miles on it today....first time to ride a buell.....have owned and still own several harley's and a few japanese rides of various shades of red and green....
But this buell....OMG it has been love at first ride.....this thing makes gobs and gobs of low end torque and sounds wicked.....its a 9 year old bike and i still get people pulling along side me wondering what the hell it is.....
AM I CRAZY OR IS THIS NORMAL?????

Normal. My son (XB12R) and I (2001, X1) went on a charity ride last weekend. Our Buells got more attention than any other bikes. Nothing special, both bikes are near stock. It's like the Harley guys want one but are afraid of what their friends will say! Different in every way!

The hardest thing about riding a Buell is getting the smile off your face!

only issue i have with the bike is the crappy mounting system for the two black side fairings...thinking of putting them in the closet and getting a hypercharger.....or something..... uploading pictures now...will post in a minute

Very Nice Bike!! Not many left of the CF series... not many made either.

You got a great deal and will never loose on it if you deside to sell the sportster... ahhh... I mean Buell. : )

These bikes have so much personality... it's tough to not have one... believe me.. I tried. The prices are so good that you may end up with 2 at some point.

Armorall shines up the CF and plastics real nice. Try not to get it on the seat though. : )

Very nice x1...now all you need is one of those Corbin Gunfighter/Lady seats in carbon fiber to match the bike!
