depends on the s1 exhaust-

96-98 normal s1's had 2" pipes, and your x1 had a 2.5

A 98 s1w had the 2.5.

It will run over your frame not under it like your x1 pipe and that puts the pipe closer to your leg.

They mount the same, but the tubing on the '99-later frames ran higher up than the '9X-'98 frames. The later exhaust will fit under the frame rail on the earlier bike, but I don't the earlier exhaust will fit running over the later frames.

I got a question simular to this as I have a 2000 m2 which has the 2.5 headers but My dad has a force pipe from a 96 s1 that he said he would give me if it will fit my bike. So my question is would it fit?

Phelan, you got it backwards man, the later will not run under the frame rail unless it has been seriously massaged. The earlier will run over the 99+ frame rail

No problem man, i would like to see if i could mount a newer 99+ header on my 97, i would have more options for a muffler.
