I just bought this bike and have a couple of things that I need. The rear shock is all spring and no shock. I assume the oil has leaked out. I read there were a lot of recalls in this area but none are listed by my VIN according to HD. The exact same situation with the front rotor. It vibrates when applied and has been a problem with similar models and years but not a recall. Are these common problems. Give me some direction or a rebuild kit for the shock or something.

skip the rebuild and look for a Works of Penske shock here or on eBay. It'll make a world of difference ; ).

Second the Works or Penske. Also get the forks upgraded with springs and valving.

A set of Lyndahl Gold brake pads from Al at American Sport Bike will cure the front rotor vibration/pulsing problem.
Great people to deal with.
