does anyone have side by side comparsion of the recall unit and the updated y hanger?

i run a force exhaust, is the y hanger still required with aftermarket exhausts? i just dont want this stud problem happening agan

The Y-hanger looks like an upside down Y when it's installed on the bike. The old hanger is flat.

I don't know if a Force exhaust uses the stock mounting point up front (I assume it does).

so the new hanger goes on both sides of the exhaust?

Yes, if I understand your question. The Y-mount centers the front exhaust mounting in-between the legs of the upsidedown 'Y', suspended between two rubber mounts.

I would hold off on buying one new. I purchased a used one I needed to convert to my D&D a couple of months ago for about $25 shipped. I bought the bracket for $15 and the new regulator mount for $10. I have the instructions if you need it.
