Bought both of these items here on the BadWeb over the past few weeks. I had never seen the Borla Full System before and I am anxious to hear it, I still lack a mount at the back of the muffler. Anyone else had one of these? I also am in the process of putting on a set of Banke Rear sets and that has gone good but I still need to get a rear brake line set up for it. Here are some pics of the progress.     Here is the mount I lack to get the exhaust done. I didn't have the factory exhaust so I didn't have this mount. I think I will just buy some flat bar and make the mounts, although I need the bushing to go int the one that has that big hole in it.  | ||

I've never seen a full Borla exhaust, either. I bet it's going to sound great. I'm not sure, but I think the missing bushing it the swingarm block is the same bushing used in the front muffer mount. | ||

Lookin' good. You could download the S1 service manual from here somewhere and get the P/N out of it... I'd do it but all I have is my iPhone and it won't download that. | ||

I looked at the service manual but it didn't say the part number, it just gave a generic 1 digit number and said isolator bushing or something to that effect. | ||

here ya go cuda, this is the bushing part number right outta the 96/97 parts catalog: Muffler Mount (rear) 65882-95Y they also list a spacer that goes through the center part number 65883-95Y and if you need the "support" (the piece of metal connecting the muffler to the bike) that is part number 65333-94YA hope this is what your looking for | ||

you need the z bracket, that rear mount looks very similar to the D&D slip on muffler mount, which requires the z bracket | ||

No Z bracket required! Just get the correct rubber bushings installed and fiddle with the exhaust until you can bolt it up. Dont tighten anything until you can get all bolts installed into the brackets on the rear of the muffler. If you look, you will see that you can install the front pipes both ways, that is right on top or right on bottom. Im talking about where it bolts up to the front bracket. Bolting up wrong will hinder alignment at the rear. I cant remember which is correct, but if you have trouble getting everything lined up, you might have it backwards where the front pipes bolt up. I hope this makes sense to you. Its kinda hard to explain without being there. And yes that Borla exhaust system sounds great. Part number for the system is 25065. Take your time to get it right the first time. Otherwise all kinds of problems can arise. Broken exhaust studs, leaks, cracked mounting brackets, etc. I put many thousands of miles on one just like this. Its the best. | ||

Anyone have any ideas on bleeding out brakes when you put on a new brake line? I put a shorter line on because of the rearsets and now I can't get it to pump any fluid to the caliper to bleed it. I put a vaccum pump on the bleeder and opened the bleeder up, put about 20# of pressure on it to suck fluid out but nothing came out. | ||

Billetmetallic I have the same Borla on my 99 Cyclone. Lately I've had problems with the front mount (fabricated-not stock) breaking. Are you using the updated "Y" bracket? | ||

You may want to try raising the rear caliper above the master cylinder to help move the air. I changed to stainless lines and just bled via pump several times & Crack the bleeder. What a difference the braided stainless line makes in the function! | ||

Grancuda, that looks like my old exhaust system! It sounds great, your going to love it. As to the brackets, yes you need to get some flat stock, I used 3/16" and spaced the mounting holes about 1 1/4" apart. Mount everything up loose, and then tighten it up front first, then the back. Make sure you use loctite on everything!!! Bart | ||

I want to know more about those rearsets. It looks like it mounts in the iso-whole in the frame. I have billet iso-stiffeners in there. I wonder if I could use these? Where did you get these and about how much? | ||

grancuda- i've used a meat basting syringe and tubing to push fluid from the bleeder valve up to the reservoir. worked for me anyways hth |
