i have a weeping valve cover gasket. im thinking im gona wait till winter since i allready have one bike (78 kz 1000) torn down. what i am wondering is are there any swaps or mods i can do to the top end since i will be in there allready for the gasket swap. im going to look for parts as well if anyone has anything they think i might be interested in.

You might consider going to XB rocker box covers.

Your lower ROCKER ARM HOLDER to HEAD gaskets are the ones that leak as a rule ...

They are one piece now and the same as the H-D Sportster Gasket PN 16800-84A ... These can be re-used ...

The ROCKER COVER Gaskets if in good shape can be put in the freezer for two hours and reused ...

You must TORQUE the fasteners which means if the engine is left in the frame some improvised tools must be made ...

Drill out the oil drain back holes in the rocker boxes. Roller tipped rocker arms.
