If you have an M2 with an aftermarket or modified stock tail, post a picture of it. I'd love to see it.

The s1 tail looks great. Do you have to cut the frame to make that fit?

Tail section of the frame is cut to fit this S1 tail.

Here's an old link (with a link) that shows a whole bunch of us going hogwild with dremels, welders, hammers, and tongs on our M2 tails.

Some good stuff there.

I've got the Airtech Superbike tail. Check my profile for a picture.

2000M2RR

I just finished installing a tail from a Honda CBR 600RR. I bought the parts used off eBay and painted everything black. The stock fairing and seat is way too big and ugly. Check it out here http://southhillcustoms.blogspot.com/

That does look nice. Sweetest retrofit I've seen yet.

How the comfort? It looks like the tank could be a ball buster.

Did this with stock Airtech stuff in California. Went to a full fairing because of my personal preference. The seat/tail is their "Manta" for M2's. Stock tank.

Yup, just check my profile for pics. I really like the look of the S1 tail.

seatbrackets

Thanks Koz!
Djkaplan - The tank is stock M2, stock location. The seat and everything back is off the 2003 Honda...not as plush as the stock M2, a bit firm. I welded up some basic brackets for the seat and tail...anyone could do this for under $300 and a weekend of easy fabrication.

the old seat? it lowers it actually... but you have to have a pretty good threshold of pain...

I know what separates the early tuber guys from the later ones... a propensity for pain in the nether regions

thats from dj who tried the older seat and quickly took it off. I know the later seat doesnt look as good, but its more comfortable.

I cut down the front of my S1 seat a bit, gave me more stand over height and reshaping the seat makes things easier on the "nether regions".

I find spending more time on my bicycle helps me cope with the seat too, it's really very plush compared to my bicycle

I know I know, it's an S1 in a M2 thread. I cut the rear sub frame and trimmed the body work for a less is more approach. Some may like it some may hate it, just another example.

I fall into the 'like it' category!

No one would ever mistake it for someone elses bike.
