I dont want to do this but I have fallen behind in tuition and I now owe over $20,000 and I still have 4 years left of school, so I am going to possibly put my buell up for sale to pay down some of the bills. This is what I have 2001 Buell Lightning X1 7140 Miles (rebuilt at 5000 miles so 2170 miles on current motor, all seals replaces in engine also) Rev Performance 1250 Big Bore Kit w/ domed pistons Nology Spark Plug Wires NGK Plugs Updated front exhaust bracket Updated Shifter 2140 miles on new Harley belt New oil pump (2140 miles on it) XB12R Rocker Covers XL1200 Heads Gas Tank Accents D&D Slip on muffler Ceramic Coated Header (Black) Custom ground and hardened cams Forcewinder Intake XB Windscreen (Rhino lined black) New triple tree barrings NRHA Billet Front motor mount Custom red powder coated chassis (with a bottle or touch up paint color matched) Flat black fairings and tail section (covered with a clear for protection) Bar end Mirrors New speed sensor All new oil lines Harley Transmission Fluid Mobile 1 Oil New Clutch Cable Dual projectors Like I said I dont want to but I may have to and was wondering what you guys think its worth. THANKS    With old headlight but same setup     The bike runs great. I will be replacing the oil drain plug and that should be the last thing leaking on the bike. It rides like a bat outta hell, and sounds just as good. I am located in Snellville, GA just east of Atlanta. There are quite a few guys on this board that have seen the bike in person and can vouch for it. Hopefully I will not have to sell it, but like I said, just trying to see what its worth if I do have to. THANKS | ||

Don't sell it if there is a way. I think you would only get between $3,000-$4,000. Sad but true. Good luck, I hope I am low by a few Gs. | ||

Jeez man... when I was in college, I had a clapped out old Honda 350. I didn't get my Buell until I had "made it". The jury is still out on the "made it" part too. With tuition bills like that, you must be going to Emory or Mercer being from Snellville, Georgia. You going to med school or what? | ||

Mechanical Engineering and Georgia Tech....but I am living on campus during school and at home in the summer so its mainly the room and board thats killing me. Ive been trying to pay down the loans with part time jobs, but with the price of gas and everything right now its pretty damn hard to save anything... Hopefully something will work out and I can keep the bike. I am jut crossing my finger I get a internship with someone next year but I dont want to hold my breath. | ||

I don't know what it's worth, but it looks cool as hell. Am I the only one that likes the chin spoiler on the lightnings? Everyone seems to remove it. | ||
