hi, i have a 97 s1 and i keep frying cam position sensors. is this a common problem? is there a fix? any aftermarket sensors that are more reliable? i've been going through one to two a year and i am getting really fed up with getting stranded. thanks for the help,

yes, i think so, but i bought it used so i'm not 100% on that, how would i check? what difference would it make?
