So i went riding yesterday for about an hour. When I stopped i figured i would check my oil catch can....well the breather filter on the top was bubbling....it was over flowing. I drained it before we left and in an hours time of riding I had accumulated 1/4 qt of gunk. I started to drain it then decided to save a little to take a picture....Here are some pictures of the gunk. Anyone know whats causing my bike to puke sooo much? I am puking more than I am burning. This is crazy....PS I got a few other pictures in her also. Enjoy

Is this the ABS catch can? I have one and they are useless. I put a inline fuel filter on my vent line about 16 inches down and then routed the rest to the muffler exhaust hole. This filters under neg pressure and vents the positive pressure over board without mess. The vapor/gunk blows by the rear tire. Cost my $5.00 in parts vs. the $125 I wasted on the catch can.

no its a small can built for go carts...its a aluminum cylinder with a inlet at the top and a drain valve at the bottom. then there is a vent at the very top

If it's like any other X1 it'll keep puking until it gets the oil level where it likes it. I installed an oil cooler and one of the reasons was to get more oil capacity simply because in my opinion if you change the oil and put in the two quarts it's too much and it'll end up puking it out until it's happy. If the bike ain't happy, nobody's happy!
