Looking for someone with ECMspy and working cable to make a couple adjustments to my 2000 X1. I have the software but cannot seem to get a cable that will properly transfer the signal from my ECM to the laptop. If you or anyone you know can help me out for a six pack I would appreciate it. Within 50 miles of Louisville, KY would be a great! BTW I just finished my 2000 X1 Lightning winter project and love it, love it, love it!!!!
Thanks in Advance,
Ryan

SIX PACK!...big spender! The proper software is good , but if you figure the cable and knowledge of how to use it is only worth a couple bucks in beer, then you need to haul your self into a HD dealer and price a TPS re-set!

Well considering that the reset would take five minutes tops and a six pack of Heineken costs in the neighborhood of $7.50(cold) by my calculations that would value the time spent at $90.00/HR. The local Stealership charges $48.00 for a reset. So if it was me I would be more than glad to help out a fellow Bueller for a few minutes and I would appreciate the cold beer & view it as a token of appreciation and friendship from one biker to another. You probably don't play well with others do you?

The closest stealership to me wanted $138.00 to do a tps reset,I told them I'd pass.

I'm getting things together to do this (waiting for my new laptop)and I figured I would supply everything including the beer.
Money isn't everything.
Sometimes people like to help others out, make new friends and shoot the bull.

Update ... My request will be taken care of this weekend. As far as Jstfrfun maybe if I offered some Geritol or Viagra he would have been more friendly and helpful.

Well, you can't really blame a guy for trying to get more beer, can you?

Evidently he's a rich old geezer, always flaming people trying to save a buck or two. Heck, when Damnut had his baby I sent him a few Harley clothes my kids had grown out of just trying to be nice, and I paid the shipping. Flame on that!
Muahahahahaha

Oh, and glad to hear you got your fix Whiterhino.

I had the same problem with my race ECM when I installed it, so Instead of being raped by the dealar,I bought my own set-up, so I know first hand how much it costs. I own my own business so I have a clue about value. But not beer, sorry, and I am a fun kinda guy, and I know what it is to give ...but not beer for laptop cable software and skills!
