... to the number of posts in the S2 specific folder.

We must be winning... at something.

Thanks for asking, Neil.
Aside from the bike recently taking a deuce, Im doing pretty well. I was recently hired into a brand new healthcare facility here in Pensacola, and am on track to be working for them as a surgical technologist this time next year.

Im stoked to say the least.

Travis, that is great news on the job.

Neil, I was thinking about Derek the other day. I was not sure if he was on the BadWeb but hope things are well with him....

I hope he has not run out of gas on a mountain lately...

If I can swing another MB I will try but I need to figure out what is going on our current contracts.

I really wish I could have stayed a little longer.

I doubt I will bring the S1W next year
because I hope to be on a Uly.

I know I am getting old when I look at the big bags on the Uly and think; that is sexy LOL...

good to hear that your doing okay travis. what happened to the bike. i hope you can make the most of your job especially if your getting paid good. sounds like it could pan out all right.

frank, just talked to derek a little today and he was in the middle of building a cat condo for some guy and needed some imput. he did have another adventure when he come up to myrtle beach for the second weekend when he brought up another buddy and his family to go camping.(very long story) not one person would belittle you for not being able to show up to MBVI. but i do hope you get your uly. you will enjoy it. i have more storage on that than on the ultra with those side bags.

"If I can swing another MB I will try but I need to figure out what is going on our current contracts."

I was really bummed for you Frank. All that way for the wettest MB ever. I felt personally responsible for some reason.

Hope to see you again, man. If not there... somewhere!

I owe Derek a huge favor for letting me use his extra cot when my tent got flooded.

And Twinntour (Ray) also. When Derek left, Ray gave me his air mattress before he left.

Hey Ray... I still got it. I'll bring it back the next time.

Dan, I was lucky to be able spend time with my folks in Jacksonville NC so MBV was just great timing. Even though I did not get to ride the S1W that much it was worth it to hang out with you, Travis, Neil, Derek and others (I cannot remember the name of the guy that gave me a ride into town to buy beer but he was a real cool standup guy)... I got to meet Kristi and some of the other C3 group and still have my C3 sticker on the S1W to this day......

On my way to MBV, with the S1W in the back of the truck, I almost ran into Derek about 5 miles from TWO. His van ran out of gas and he was holding a small water bottle to get gas from someone, I gave him a ride to get gas and get him back in the road. I was not laughing at the time but now, when I think about it, it was pretty funny. That is how I remember Derek!

I was very impressed with all the M2s there.

I had a wet trip home and did not start hitting dry sky until St Louis. I slept in the truck since my tent was soaked and made it home in time to go back to work.

I felt personally responsible for some reason.

Don't, I ride with a lot of guys that have bad karma and got hit with the worse ice storm, (and I was dumb enough to ride through it), that I ever seen in late May on the NM / CO state line. I blamed it all on my friend with bad karma... Of course I am starting to wonder if its me with the bad karma

the way i try to look at it is, everything happens for a reason. it was just nice to be around some of the greatest people the biking community has to offer.

PS dj, i like the way you blew up on the other thread, it was way past due but necessary. some people just live for a fight.

Thanks guys. The money is definately better than where I was before, and when I reach surg. tech. I should be able to start assembling my Buell harem. Countin' down the days...

Frank-We'll be square on the tank in a few days, man. I know you said not to sweat it, but thanks/repayment are in order for your kindness and patience. Thanks again.

Neil-I sheared off a header bolt a couple weeks ago and while trying to remove it, my helper broke an easy-out in the remainder of the stud.

I clearly remember telling him not to touch it til I got the Jims tool, but he scoffed at my $86.00 purchase-to-be and vowed that he could fix it with all of his certified ASE glory and an automotive extractor kit. If only he'd read the prnt under the Jims tool on American Sport Bike's site where it states,
"DO NOT USE AN EASY OUT".
ha ha ha. hindsight really is 20/20.

Well, a week in the machine shop and a hundred dollars later, the stud is out with the original threads still intact.
Im thinking that since its torn down, I might as well take the other head off and throw a port & polish into the mix.

the way i try to look at it is, everything happens for a reason.

Had the weather been cooperative, I would not met nearly as many people as I did this March Badness. I looked down the roll call spreadsheet, and of the 130 or so people, I think I talked to more than 100 of them. That would have never happened if the sun had been out the entire day.

Frank - I hope you and Lynn can make it in next year. We'll all pray for good riding weather.

All I gotta say about the post count is this: A guy can't type here when he's riding : p . Of course maybe you M2 guys figured out a way, but I'm staying off the roads you're on!

changing colors : D . Oh, and searching down an oil leak, a short, and saving for a new rear tire. It seems that when you buy a 13 year-old bike that had 400 miles put on it by the previous two owners in a year's time, ride it a month and put 4000 miles on it, stuff breaks : ( .
