Author Message   Dfbutler Posted on Thursday, June 19, 2008 - 06:09 pm:        I've got a Corbin seat that has nearly 50K miles and almost 9 years of seat seat time and it starting to split a couple of seams. To have Corbin re do the cover and refresh will be about $200. Should I look at other options? I ride occasionally 2 up and like the ability to have the back rest for passenger security. My opinion and noone elses.   Nevrenuf Posted on Thursday, June 19, 2008 - 09:20 pm:        i got to hand it to you cause i couldn't stand putting 20 miles on the corbin when i got it and right now my buddy is using it on his m2. the up graded buell seat that they used to offer is what's on the bike and i like it quite a bit. i would just find someone to recover it also.   Jos51700 Posted on Thursday, June 19, 2008 - 09:40 pm:        I gotta say I'm impressed. I bought this seat new from Corbin about 6 or 7 years ago and hardly ever used it. They put soft foam in and did a beautiful job. They even covered it differently than before. I love this seat now and I hated it before. I even thought of selling it. Not now. This seat rocks! Corbin's are worth every penny with the right foam(soft). Ride safe, BR.   Ratbuell Posted on Friday, June 20, 2008 - 08:38 am:        I've got a Corbin on my S2 and even though it's hard as a rock, it's shaped perfectly and there are no high or low spots in the support. It fits me perfectly and I love it. I went about 100 yards on a stock seat because I thought the softer stocker would be "more comfy"...uh-uh. +1 for above - if it served you this well for so long, have it recovered by Corbin. The foam is shaped to your..um...shape already, and Corbin has shown they make a good seat, so get it re-skinned by them and go another decade on it
