I wanted to let my fellow Midwest Tubers know of a good deal I found recently. I unfortunately was let down for the last time by my dealer (Appleton –HD). The HD AGM battery I purchased in August of 2007 had expired (the dealer tested it and said that some of the cells had collapsed). Not willing to provide more than 25% off the retail price (which ended up being $91 before tax) for the replacement of an obviously defective part ( August, September, then dead). I drove to Fleet & Farm and purchased an AGM for $72 and change out the door. It slid in without a hitch and I received none of the attitude I had been forced to take in order to keep my Buell alive. So, if you have access to a Fleet & Farm you would do yourself a favor by checking out their consumables. |

Nothing is worse for a Buell rider than to be forced to get assistance from a HD dealer. Parts geek or sales person it dosen't matter they all treat us with the same contempt. In the Las Vegas area there are three stores, all of which post ads stating they are Buell dealerships, none are cooperative...they suck! |

I had one of those batteries go bad in less than a year too! Figured it was just one of those things... |
