Hey guys,

I have 2 problems

1. electrical: It wont always turn over when I hit the starter button...Sometimes it will turn right over others I will have to walk away for a few minutes or hours and it will turn right over. It does this hot or cold. I cleaned the starter switch contacts and starter relay contacts...what else should I be looking at?

Problem 2

I recently pulled off my BUB 2 into 2 pipes which where on the bike when I bought it and installed the factory header with a V&H slip on. I currently have less throttle response and a slight miss or stumble off the line. What Jets should I have in my carb to work with this set up.

I also have a forcewinder intake if it matters.

Thanks

Pete

I have a 2000 M2 as well, so...

1. Sidestand switch?... known trouble spot. Can make it cut out while riding, and could disable starter if you're in gear, and trying to start with just the clutch pulled in. Ignition switches can also be troublesome... but I would start with the simple stuff first. Check all battery cables INCLUDING grounds. Probably need more specifics about your symptoms & conditions under which the starter will not engage to speak intelligently.

2. Not my area of expertise, but sounds like perhaps pilot jet size. I'm not familiar with your previous setup, but I'm running the same setup you currently have installed. I'm running a 42 pilot and it's about perfect, but I live at 8,000 feet in CO. 45 to 48 seems to be the preferred for folks closer to sea level. More here:

There's quite a bit of info on both of these topics if you search the archives...
