Just a ?, do progressive springs for forks come in different weights, or does one size suit all more manly figures

I was looking at improving the forks on my Dyna FXD and couldn't figure out or find much info on the Progressive springs. They seem to have a range of weights and stuff but I just couldn't really nail it down to what I might have wanted to try. It was going to come down to buying a set of damper rod and some springs and trying them to see difference it made.

Then I got to looking at the Race-Tech stuff and was able to use their product search pages to get some more specific info. I also found some forums and other sources of info that gave me some impression of what I could expect from buying the stuff.

I just went back and looked at the progressive pages again, and see that they do not appear to have any thing that is specifically for the Buells.

If you look at the Race-Tech page:

You can choose your make and model (and Buells are included) and get a feel for what some of the bits and pieces are that can be experimented with or changed (the valving for example).

Once you get to the product page for your bike, it gives you access to a spring rate calculator for choosing a spring weight for your weight and riding needs. And that will also list the stock spring rates for comparison.

Race-Tech just seems to offer a lot more info and technical detail on modifying and improving suspensions.

I have the 39mm damper rod forks, yours are 41mm cartridge style, so my learning curve won't apply to you. But maybe you can find some info and get some feedback from others who have reworked the M2 forks.

The suspension section of the Knowledge Vault here probably has some info in it on suspension mods too. The older tubers like the M2 are a popular choice for track day bikes and I'm sure that must have people messing with the suspensions.

Progressive's site is sorta vague...

Call their Tech Support or sales line for more info...

I am in the hunt for fork springs for the Sporty, without raising it too much...

What are you trying to achieve with your fork suspension modifications?

I've fitted USD forks off a 98 S3, while they're a big improvement on stock, they feel a bit soft so I wan't to stiffen em up a bit without losing the suppleness.

I'm not really concerned with revalving them at the moment tho , maybe later.
