Wondering if anyone knows the size of the fitting on the fuel pump for FI tubers...

I am also trying to figure this out for the Sporty, but, the system uses a quick connect fitting....

I know its some type of schrader style fitting... but, not much more than that..

Any ideas?

I think it's a schraeder valve inside an AN-4 or AN-6 fitting. Use a valvestem puller to remove the pin from the fitting, then attach your test gauge, then pressurize the system.

Every Fuel Pressure Test kit I've seen has a matching schrader in the guage and hoses, so no schrader removal is required. I bought a Mac "all American Cars" FPT kit, and it had the right fittings, and was cheaper than buying a lone test guage and hose. Not cheap, mind you, but cheaper.

I wanna tap into it...

When I tap into my EFI cars (waaay too much boost, I want to keep an eye on fuel pressure at the rail) I pull the pin out of the schraeder. No chance of the pin sticking shut and freaking me out mid-run - 26 psi of boost and a quick drop to 0 on fuel pressure (stuck pin or otherwise) is a great way to spike the heart rate!

No doubt...

Screwing around with a buddy's turbo car right now... spikes to over 25lbs... then sorts out (4th &5th gear) between 15-20....till the comp either retards timing, or pulls fuel to lower boost(have no idea which one yet).

Once I get this sorted out(the bikes), I will be monitoring the pressure..... it uses a walbro pump, so... in the unlikely even I get a drop in pressure, I can put a stronger pump in pretty easy....
