My chassis will be back hopefully by friday and that means that I should be parting my bike back together this weekend (FINALLY).

The only thing I need is a RACE ECM for a X1. I need this in order to deliver more fuel cause of my big bore kit.

Does anyone have one or know where I can get one for a decent price? I am east of Atlanta in Georgia. Worst case scenario I will just start the bike up without the race ecm and start the break in heat cycles, but I really wanted to ride it asap so if I can get a ECM by this weekend it would be GREAT!!

THANKS

i talked to a few people and I was going to try and just swap the ecm out and hope it works. I have heard some say it will, some say it wont. I guess its a 50/50 chance. if someone whas one locally I would LOVE to use the VDSTS tool, but then again I may be the one local guy that ends up buying one.

if my bike runs fine I will leave it until I tune it with the PC3 I just dont want to run the PC3 until I break the bike in

They pop up on Ebay for decent prices all of the time. Mine has been running good for about 1 month without TPS reset but stumbles every once in a great while. Ordered the cable parts for ECM Spy to do the TPS reset myself. Then I will see if it makes a difference. Bike runs better than stock without the reset though.

ECM SPY is a better way to go than a PC3 or any add on as it lets you directly remap the ecm and make other changes such as ignition advance.
You could use it on your stock or a race ECM.

The race ECM has more ignition advance and runs a different map. I do not know right now how much more, but I could download the numbers from mine. It is most likely richer, but it doesn't really add more fuel for your big bore kit.

Both ECM's will use the AFV to attempt to adjust the mixture. That is if the engine goes lean because it is drawing in more air due to the big bore kit, it will add more fuel.
If you are talking about a 1250 kit, the race ecm should run pretty good right out the box, better with tuning.
If you are bigger than that, then a complete tuning with ECM SPY is in order.
