While out riding today I noticed my tachometer on my M2 was "bouncing". The needle that reads RPM's was pretty much just bouncing around and not reading accurately at all. It seemed to settle down a little bit the more I rode. It didn't bounce as much, but it wasn't reading properly either. Any idea what this might be causing this?

Loose instrument panel ground? Loose wire to the ignition system? There's only four wires into a tach - signal, ground, lighting, and lighting ground. I'd have to check a manual to see if the signal comes from the pickup on the cam, or from the ignition module...but if it's running without hiccups, I'd lean towards a loose ground somewhere.

I knew it must have something to do with a loose or chaffed wire somewhere. I'll have to look into it when I get some free time. Thanx!
