Am interested in an aftermarket for my M2 -

want it louder than stock but not too loud. I had a Vance and Hines before.

Thanks!

Check w Supertrapp, you can tune to what your after. Not VnH! while they make a good product for your Yama or HD bagger, they do not make a good quality piece for your Buell. I've got VnH on my V-Star 1100 and they are great.

I had Vance & Hines on my M2, changed it back to stock, too loud !

Running SuperTrapp IDS now, just changed from 12 discs to 8 discs. Just a slight change in sound. Still too loud ! These are not as adjustable as they seem like they would be, for sound level. Less than 8 discs, the performance is worse than stock anyway.

Going back to stock, as soon as I can find all the mounting pieces again. I seem to have misplaced my Z bracket, or I would have done it last Sunday.

I don't know about the V&H but the Wiley on my X1 with fresh packing is reasonably quite until I take it into triple digits then the packing seems to vanish and it gets very loud but not obnoxious.
I recently bought some FMF four stroke race packing that I'm going to try next, and if that doesn't work I'm going to machine the case off a 16 inch automotive glass pack and insert the core and packing in the Wiley can.
Even with the packing blown out its still much quieter than a 1200 sporty with V&H drag pipes with the baffles removed.

I had a Vance and Hines b4, so I know how loud that can be. Is the wileysco quieter?

I've run both a Vance & Hines SS2R and a Wileyco on my M2. The Wileyco is quieter, but not TOO quiet. It has a very nice exhaust tone. The Wileyco quality is also top notch. I've got their cans on both the M2 and 12R. Couldn't be happier with either one.

i have 2 VH pipes at the house both could be fixed easly, but not by me, the quality is not up to par. I put a kooks custoom on my S3T it is great the best i have ever seen in quality ...but it is a great exhaust tone but it aint quite
If you want the pair cheap let me know

So how do the Wileyco and the V&H compare to the D&D? I am thinking about ditching the V&H for something with a little better sound.

The D & D and Force are obnoxiously loud. Too loud for my neighborhood. I have the Trapp and am very pleased. I run 24 discs. Nice deep sound. It is stainless and very solid. Personally, I don't care for any aluminum can, they tend to sound cheap and hollow. I recall some of the guys have gutted the stock can to get more sound. From what I have heard, the Wileyco is one of the quieter aftermarket cans.

I run the Wiley Co. and found it to be pretty quiet compared to others on the market. Last year, I had a pipe welded into the center of the can to eliminate 1/2 of the packing and I like it a lot now. It is quiet when idling, however if you jump on it, it will get loud. Unlike a D&D or a Vance and Hines pipe, it is not raspy sound at all.
