I have had the M2 in the basement all winter and have been reading alot of info here. I decided to upgrade the intake, upgrade the front motor mount, exhaust and generally clean up the look of the Cyclone.

The intake I chose was a "Harley Bigbore Intakes" carbon type unit. It comes with a little bling and a filter as opposed to a catch can. Check out the pics. Is this gonna puke allover the bike???. As you can see, the hoses from the breather holes go up and over the engine to the otherside of the motor where the filter is so Im hopin that just 'fumes" come outta the filter.

I rejetted/idle mixture screwed as is the norm and hope the thing will still run..ha!

I installed a high zoot motor mount so I dont have Grovscopa's problem. The pic dont do the piece justice...its kinda artsy.

I got a local fella to ceramic coat my header and stock muffler as Im not too impressed with the V&H I bought. I like loud but its gotta have balls and for some reason, my V&H sounds just awfull. Im thinkin mebey they forgot to put packing in mine. Anyhow, the header looks good...to me..

I also received a tailight as a gift. Its got LED's in it and the signal lites are in there as well.. REally neat. I took the opportunity to clean up the tail section and trimmed down the ugly plastic fender....

I put the rear signal lites on the front as they are about 2 inches narrower and Im goin for that "slim" look....for the bike anyways.

Take special note of the orderlyness of my work bench(I spend alot of time lookin for stuff).

Anyhow, I should have the old blister assembled and road worthy by this time next week..Cant wait.

I think the only issue you might find is that the filter lines will allow the vapor to condense, and run back down as solid oil, and then when you wrap out the motor, the rapid rise in crankcase pressure will cause it to puke oil out the other side.

They had a similar issue on Twincam HD motors, where the vapor line on the front cylinder ran up and over, joined with the rear, and then down into the aircleaner.

The HD solution was to route the breathers seperately, down into the throttle body, since the vapor couldn't make it up and over the arch. I am not saying you'll have a problem, but that's the only thing I can see in what you've got. The rest looks trick!

I just installed the HBBI intake and ran the breather hose all the way down to the bottom of the bike with an open end and have had no problems what so ever. I put on 200 pretty hard miles last weekend (short/long trips, running it hot in traffic, wheelies, just about everything) and there wasn't even a sign of any spooge. The only problem I would see with your setup is having the filter and lines plug up but I really dont see it happening.

That breather wont be pretty and white for long. I have a breather like that, but its strapped back near my battery. Ive come to the conclusion that if you run your bike hard, theres going to be some puking somewhere, no matter what.

That header looks great.

I love my V&H, but it is a little on the loud side. Loud, but it sounds hot.

I ran my breathers up and over and, so I could see what is going on, I used clear tubes.

The tubes are not connected and run up and over the motor, then down just to where they dump just behind the left footpeg where they are open.

The plan is to join the tubes under the tank and run a single tube down to a catch-can but, before I did that, I just wanted to see if oil would run up and over or if it would run back into the motor.

So far, no oil is going up and over the motor. The motor is tight but I do run it hard enough and long enough that, if this was going to be a problem, I would think that I would see oil coming out the end of the tubes. So far no oil has come out.

Thanx for the responces guys;
Jos51700- Im gonna try this for a bit but Ill probably find a "Splooge can" after the white leaves the cute little filter
CBm2- Where did you run your line? That might be an option as long as it dont barf huge...
Socoken- For some reason, my V&H dont sound like the others Ive heard. Mine sounds like tin banging together along with a nice loud rumble. It hurts your ears while its idling. Im gonna take it apart and see whats in there. A couple of popcans and a wrench mebey....heh
Skntpig- Thx, nice dogs.

I made a T and then ran the 1 tube down between the engine and swing arm area (not sure exactly where right now), but I know that I routed it to where it won't affect the rear tire at all.
