This seller always has a ton of these on Ebay. Looking to get rid of the uglies on the X1. These work ok? Can you actually see anything or do they just make the bike legal? Any other suggestions out there?

I put on a set of Aprillia mirrors from the Touno. I love them. no, not slick and low like the bar ends but are nicely designed and work very well. i also put on the Uly handguards, what a difference its made on my X1. I'll try to get pics, if I can I'll use my cell phone. (only way I got)

See your point, though I see a lot of my forearms w/ the stock mirrors. I don't want barends because I don't want to have to look down to see behind me. Too many potholes here in the city. I also don't want the handlebars any wider.

I bought a set for my X1 a few weeks ago. They will not fit stock bars without a little modification. The ID measures 7/8" on the bars and the anchor on the mirror has an OD of 5/8", so the mirror will not tighten up in the bar. I went to a hardware store and got some clear silicone hose that slips over the mirror mount and with a little lubrication(soap) I pressed the mirror mount in the bar. Works very well. I've put about 300 miles on them so far and I like them a lot. My only complaint is I had to keep an allen wrench with me on long rides to tighten up the adjustment bolts. They seem to be holding better now but some Loc Tite may be in the near future. It took a little work to get them mounted but you can't beat the price.

Rellim, are you referring to the mirrors I posted? If so, is there a US distributer?

i have a pair of the first set you listed. i also have superbike aftermarket bars on my bike and they fit fine. they dont quite tighten up solid to not move if you bump them, but they will not work free when you ride. they dont vibrate at all!!!!

I'm using those ebay mirrors on my S1 and S2, I like them just fine. I did have to turn some new pieces out of aluminum to make them work with the 1" bars on the S2, but was no big deal.

You really have to tighten them up to get them to stay in place, but. like LimitedX1 said, they don't vibrate.

Third Eye bicycle mirrors are what you want. Only $11 apiece, and they've worked great for the last 2 years on my M2. The rubber-mounting keeps them vibration-free, and if you tip the bike you won't cry over the loss of 2 Big Mac's worth of mirrors.
