I have a PC on my Harley. With a laptop hooked up I am able to start the bike and it displays the throttle position. If I installed a PC on my '99 X1, would I be able to perform a TPS reset? Thanks! | ||

Cheaper to go ECMSpy. Software is free. All you need is the cable. Cost me AUS$55. TPS reset is easy with this stuff. | ||

To answer your question No the tps reset is a specific signal sent to the ECM from the external computer to set the 0 position of the throttle position sensor. I second Full Autos suggestion, and I would not add a power commander. in that the ECM can be reprogrammed with ECM Spy | ||

The Power Commander reference to TPS reset refers to resetting the TPS value in the power Commander, not in the ECM as is typically done in Buell World. It IS a TPS reset, just not the one you need. These other chaps are correct. |
