It has been posted, that 02 M2s has a unique ignition. I have checked out a few vendors and the 02 M2 ignition does not have a listing. Can someone shed a little light on this!!!THANKS

Unlike all the former Cyclones, the 2002 version has some kind of X1 based ECM.
The module of the earlier M2 versions has been similar to the Sportster or SE ignition modules.
If you want to switch the 2002 M2´s ignition to single fire,I´m pretty sure you have modify the wiring in the way that it can be connected to an aftermarket single fire module.
On earlier models it´s a plug and play thing.
It should be self-evident,that you got to change the ignition coil.

When I converted my 96 FLHP (evo motor) over to Daytona TwinTec singlefire, it came pretty much self-contained:

cam pickup/timing plate
wiring harness to power and to coil

I added the S/E singlefire coil, wired the harness from power and ground to the pickup plate, and from the pickup plate (with nosecone mounted electronics) to the coil. Dirt simple, works great (90hp/90tq out of an 80" evo). No external box, and I just abandoned the OEM wiring where it lay.

is the one I use. Love it.

Unless you're worried about ounces of weight, or are re-doing other portions of your harness...why not just leave it (and the factory harness wraps) in place?

When I used the Crane HI4 on my 95 FLSTN it was very easy! You don't even have to take the rotor out. Mostly you plug and play with a coil replacement and some wiring. It was very adjustable and smoothed out that old evo!!! Thats way I'm trying to find a year sportster I can cross reference for the crane application. THANKS EVERYONE!
