I'm home from work due to the freaking flu. Can anybody explain in easy-on-the-eyes terminology the different front and rear pulleys that are available and what they do engine speed wise. Also what is the difference between XB primary sprockets and tuber sprockets. Joe covered some of this in his conversion write-up but my damn head doesnt work too good now. Sorry for being sick and thanks for the info!

Well, I havent looked inot the tuber vice XB sprocket differences.

BUT, I can tell you a couple things right now while at work.

Smaller front gear, will increase engine rpm for any given speed. As will a larger rear sprocket. IIRC, 1 tooth on the fron is apporx the same as 2 in the rear.
This will gain you better acceleration, at the loss of top-end/efficiency @ cruising speeds.

Going larger in the front, OR smaller in the rear, will DECREASE engine rpm for any given speed. taking away some acceleration, but allowing lower rpms while cruising, thus increasing your gas mileage.

Thanks for answering! I was just trying to a bit more specific. Euro sprocket vs american and the xb primary gearing also, and what the different combinations looked like. When I owned my Honda 919 the first thing I did was install a smaller front sprocket. Made the bike much snappier.
