Just wanted to see if anyone knows if Harley sells a touch up paint that will match the black on the primary cover on an '01 X1. I bought an X1 that had been dropped and the primary cover is a little scratched. If I could find some paint that will match it would be a nice temporary fix and better than dropping $220 on a new cover...

I've been searching the web but can't find anything made by Harley and i'm nervous to try something that I don't know 100% will match. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

They do have a "texture black" touchup paint. I've used it on my FLHP in a couple spots and it's pretty darned close. Texture paints are like woodgrain though - even though oak is oak, each piece is still different...but the touchup looks dead-on from five feet away. I'll post a part number for the bottle in the AM - too late to head out to the garage tonight, brr.
