Someone backed into my bike awhile ago, happens, and didn't give it much thought until I pulled the fairing to put in a HID headlight. When I went to put the fairing back on, the the arm that holds the right mirror is bent back and up and I can't get the mirror back on.

Use a persuader (otherwise known in carpentry circles as a hammer) to put it back where it belongs...or just order a new one, they're still available.

Never use a hammer on a spyder, it will crack off very easily
Used heat, and take your time getting back in place
there not cheep, but can be bent back with an oxy torch(i did that to one)
Be patient and take your time
