Is anyone running anything other than the factory hard bags. Looking at other options in saddlebags. Really like the S2T bags but they cost almost as much as I have in the bike. May just bite the bullet and orders the hard bag setup. Are there any good dealers to order from with maybe a badweb discount?

I've used the Buell soft saddle bags on my S2 for a weekend run, they did fine.

I ran the Chase Harper stealth bags for a couple years and was surpiseed how much I could squeeze into them... But the strap did cause some paint damage...

I have looked at the Chase Harper stealth bags but I guess any of that type of bags you will get some damage. Not that my bike is perfect but I would like to keep it as it is.

Bluesboy Did you get the S3 bags or did you find some S2 saddlebags? If I decide to purchase new parts I like the conversion kit with the S3 bags. In the mean time let me know what you need for the Cortech bags I may go that route first.

Kevin,I bought S2 narrow bags w/hardware,they have the double lock on top, mounting will be a challenge because when I had the bike painted i removed the licence plate mt.witch I believe you need to mt. the hard bags. The Cortech bags are the one`s featured on a S2 in there ad.Send me your E-mail address and i`ll send pic`s.My e-mail is petemon@charter.net

Bluesboy - send an email to jgoetz@hdoffrederick.com and I'll find the .pdf for the original kit installation. I'll have to look at mine, but I don't *think* you need the plate bracketry to install, I think the side pieces mount to the main frame and there's just a bridge across under the taillight for lateral (i.e. don't swing into each other over the tire) support.
