Yes, other than the fittings for the oil lines it is the same pump. Just reuse the fittings from your '99 and it will work.
i just installed a 07 Uly pump on my '00 M2 and it fit just fine.

The 07 pump has a larger scavenging gerotor to help prevent wet sumping.
If you look in this thread it discusses it more thoroughly and shows a picture of the difference in the gerotor size.
