I got the frame, working on the title...and if it gets rebuilt, it will be as a BUELL, dammit. To see why I only have a frame, check this out: http://www.sonnyboychoppers.com/builds.html Click on the link for Isaac's mutant Buell. <sniff> At least it's a pretty decent looking chopper. And I know where to find my wheels...powertrain...forks...trees...bars...brake s... |

Just give him 10$ for it when the novelty wears off, sacrilege |

To each his own BUT IMHO the Buell looked much better. |

Man that is a sad sad slide show. Do you only have the frame? Seems the only thing he used was the drivetrain, wheels, forks, and brakes. If you can get all the other parts you'll be way ahead. It will be difficult to start with just the frame and find & buy all the other parts needed to rebuild it. Keep your eyes here and on eBay for parts. Some ideas... Since the wheels and front end are gone, maybe look into using xb wheels, forks, and brakes. You'd probably need Uly or TT forks to get the right height though.... I'm not sure. It could be tricky but you'll have, lighter wheels and better brakes, not to mention the coolness factor. Oh and look for a X1 or S3 drivetrain if you find a FI motor just swap on a Mikuni 42. |

Rat: I started to do this a few years ago with a chopper donor S2, and I got as far as needing an engine and forks without too much trouble. When it came time to find an engine the cost took the wind out of my sails, then my company closed up so I had to part it back out again. I'll see if I have anything left that I don't need, and I hope you have better luck than I did. TK |

Actually my plan (loose plan at this point; god only knows when/if I'll get to it) is to build a fuel injected S2 with S3 harness; XB front end and wheels; big bore kit (1250 or more) with XB heads, black and chrome engine, etc; stock S2 bodywork with custom color on everything but with stock logos, etc. I'm tossing around the following color choices: Nuke Blue or XB hero blue translucid frame, wheels, swingarm; Ice White Pearl body Nuke Blue frame, wheels, swingarm; custom orange pearl body (think 2008 Challenger) custom orange pearl frame, wheels, swingarm; slightly tweaked (more pearl, more color flip) version of volcano gray bodywork. I've already got a tank cover, seat, and front fender; need to find a fairing, fairing support and tail. I have a line on "race only" cases to build the motor from and a few armloads of spare crap at home from the 2 tubers I already own. I figure if I take my time to do it right, it'll be a couple years before I have everything I need. Which is just fine with me, my budget...and my wife ;) |

I really like the idea of the custom orange and grey. Classic Buell with a custom twist. |

Dang, I need to pay more attention. I didn't realize it was Ratbuell posting. lol The blue and white would look sweet, but so would the others. Have you thought about incorporating the XB swingarm like Joesbuell's bike? |

Looks badass as a Buell. Cute, as a chopper. |

I'm hoping the Buell sacrificed to build this machine was all mangled up and unrecognizable and all that was left was the drivetrain because that is the only time it MIGHT be a good idea to do this. That being said I thought this was a cool looking retro chop. http://images.google.com/imgres?imgurl=http://imag es.streetchopperweb.com/features/0708_stcp_06_z%2B 2001_buell_x1%2Bheadlight.jpg&imgrefurl=http://www .streetchopperweb.com/features/0708_stcp_2001_buel l_x1/photo_12.html&h=480&w=640&sz=48&hl=en&start=1 1&um=1&tbnid=DKYZHuirmX5lbM:&tbnh=103&tbnw=137&pre v=/images%3Fq%3Dbuell%2Bx1%26um%3D1%26hl%3Den%26rl s%3DDMUS,DMUS:2006-37,DMUS:en%26sa%3DN |

Looks badass as a Buell. Yes - however "cute" isn't the word I'd use for it as a chopper. Why someone would take such a beautiful buell and turn it into such a POS is beyond me. Congrats on rescuing the frame, btw. My X1 is going to live forever.} |

Joe, Were you able to get hold of him for the right title yet? Let me know if I can help. I'm pretty sure from talking to Isaac that the extra parts were sold on Badweb, but it was about 4 years ago. I had the frame for about 3 years. I had the swingarm too but I sold it to another Bueller to get stretched and go on a drag S1. The frame and swingarm were the last of the extra parts. |

I emailed Isaac at the shop when I got home from your place; no word yet from him. I'll have to call them on Monday. |

I thought those morons building choppers from Buells did it because the motors made more power??? don't they know an S2 has a STOCK sportster motor in it? No thunderstorm heads or anything... Just superior handling, and beautiful styling. |
