OK fellas, here it is. My 97 Cyclone (the junkyard dog) has the manta tank on it. Well, I put a set of X1 bars on it with my 97'-vintage controls on it. Now that it's back together, the grips hang off the end of the bars. I've pushed the controls as far inward as I can without notching my flyscreen for clearance. I've got something like 1 1/2" of grip hanging off the end of the bars. I've been looking really hard at a set of clubmans because the grip-portion of the bars looks like it will be long enough but I'm concerned about the bars hitting the tank. Does anybody have these on their manta-equipped tuber? | ||

Blazin Buell flattened out a set and they worked just fine with the manta tank. I tried the Pro series clip ons on my S1W when I still had it and the bars hit the tank when I tried to turn it all the way from side to side. Does anyone have a set of clubmans that I could "test fit"? I would pay shipping to and from. | ||

I will try and get some of these and stick em' on and if everything fits, I'll post picks for all of you fellow manta-tankers. And if I need to flatten em' out to get them to fit, I'll use this trusty piece of plywood in my shed and my truck to "persuade" them to flatten out. I tried a set of clubmans upside down and they hit the top fork caps. I'm now looking at a set of Rox Speed risers to give me some more adjustability |
