Just wondering if this will fit on a 99 X1?
http://www.useforce.com/proddetail.asp?prod=5013%2 D22T Its not the one that Force calls for the 99 but whats the difference? Both are for EFI motors.

I'm guessing that it won't, seeing as how it's meant for a Twin Cam 88 and the Buell has sportster power.

You'll probably need this as well to hang such a thing on there...

The elbow should fit, but I don't have a clue about the breather line routing or if your IAT sensor will fit that particular filter (it looks like it could, though).

If you plan on running a catch-can or have XB rocker covers with PCV valves, you won't be using those lines anyway.

Cuelbuell:

What "i" did was use the OEM Snorkel that comes with the OEM Air Box ...

Filled the two holes in the snorkel and bough a taper K&N air filter like come with the BIG $$$$$ Kits ...

SAVINGS $300.00 plus dollars !!!

Cuebuell:

SORRY BOUT THAT, as "i" forget(CRS) every body takes the AIR BOX off their BUELLs ...

And those that buy them used have no idea how good the AIR BOX works(and it makes a good SLIDER for left side) when "PRODUCT IMPROVED" ???

If you want a PICTURE of my set-up, e-mail me so "i" can get your e-mail address to send to you ... Ljenne73c@verizon.net

Has anyone used this kit before on there buell? And does anyone know of a deference in the two kits? I see that there is some sort of spacer in the 5008 Buell FI specific kit, but that seems to be the only difference.

Ken the Xr will fit (intake elbow),
You will have to deal with the intake sensor, I put it under the weather sock,
you can tie it to the underside of the elbow.

there is a FI version of the kit, too

on the exhaust consider a slip on
the last version of the super trap is a good one.

force pipes are LOUD! and are prone to failure on our bikes..

That particular kit has a provision for the IAT sensor in the filter. It's what the extra hole is for. Whether this hole is the right size for a Buell IAT sensor, I don't know, but it looks like it might be.

I ended up buying it. I figured for that cheap if it doesn't work I'll sell it for more, lol. Anyways I thinking about running the Bluegrass breather kit from Kuryakyn. I know I'll have to plug the hole in the Force filter that they use for there breather. Found here: http://www.cruisercustomizing.com/detail.cfm?Categ ory_ID=86&manufacturer_ID=16&product_ID=20315&mode l_ID=94&query=air%20breather

Has anyone used this? Looks like real clean look and effective way to keep the oil in. My question is what one to buy. I am thinking the one for 91-06 sportster motor, but i'm not sure.

CuelB

Im' calling Buell$hit I have regular banjos routed up and NO that does not "keep the oil in"

I have a catch can ( of sorts made from a flash light ) and it has to be emptied from time to time.

You and I have the same year mod X1,
What I did was I used banjo bolts ( not those that you posted a link to ) I ran the vent hose up and forward crossing over just behind and below the steering neck then down to the can on the clutch cable mount,

One last thing if your breather bolts in the FW kit are aluminum get some good aftermarket ones or re use your stockers, the aluminum ones WILL break off in the head
