I know the 1999 stock header was 2". But 2000 is 2.5" and international were 2". Will the 99 race header fit a 2000 X1? |

The 1999 header for US Buells were 2.5" and identical in shape and bend to the 00-02 headers, but made of a different steel (apparently not stainless) and was, of course, painted black. All pipes on US Buells from 1999-2002 are interchangeable as far as fit, but the injected bikes will need the bung for the O2 sensor. If the race header you have has the O2 sensor bung, it should fit your 2000 X1. |

How much was the Race Header selling for when it came out? I lost a bidding war on a new one on ebay but wasn't willing to pay as much as the winner who got it for #355. $350 was my top number. |

Did you send that stock header you bought out to be coated? |

Glad I hadn't sent it out yet. That race header made me wait. However, I suspect that seeing another race header will be few and far between so I will be sticking with this setup. |

I believe the 99's were stainless steel. The M2's were plain steel. |

Except the X1W which had the blue ceramic header and the X1 Millenium which had the silver ceramic header. |
