I wanted to post this I hope that I can ask a moderator to move this to the kv in a while. If your bike has not had the intake seals checked or changed its a good idea to do so. I have an FI X1 I have been pondering some of the oddities about how it runs, I had changed the manifold / head seals but over looked the seals at the injector / manifold joint If your FI bike is prone to back fire at times check these as well, I found fortunately that the AFT cylinder was running lean and the front is running rich way way rich had the situ been reversed I would have been overhauling the engine due to a damaged front cylinder, the fuel injectors have an oring top and bottom. mine showed evidence of deterioration. |

My experience has been the SEALS(intake)will are good for 2(two)years and if you have the FAN it then extends to 4(four)years ... The hotter your engine gets, the shorter the life of the SEALs !!! In BUELLing LaFayette (Message edited by buellistic on February 15, 2008) |
