I saw a picture or racerx1's old x1 with the gixxer tail, can anyone supply me with what year gsxr information and what all is needed to mount the tail on an X1? It looks to be the old 98 or so bubble style gixxer but im not sure.

also does anyone have info on how to make your own short tail using a stock X1 tail section?

Lim the X1 tail being cast heliarc may be involved, I have never seen a shortening of the cast tail

err PM 1313 he has a friend in Germany that has a heavily modded X1

Having welded on the stock cast piece... all I can say is good luck, and have fun..

The best thing to do is start from scratch.

My boy Matt put a 02(iirc), GIXXER tail on his X1...

Just made a new subframe, and bolted it all up.

To make a shorter X1 tail you willhave to do just that, MAKE it..

Its a full gasket kit.

I havent seen the bike in 2 years now..
