Author Message   Bobo Posted on Sunday, January 27, 2008 - 11:28 pm:        American Sport Bike's X1 Carbon Fiber Underseat Panel, do you have one? What are your thoughts about it? I am new to Buell. My 00 X1 has the fender removed and I am trying to figure out if I should put one back or just clean up the under side of the under seat.   Kyrocket Posted on Monday, January 28, 2008 - 09:15 am:        I have one and love it. Check out my profile, if you'd like more/better pics I could take some for you. When I got mine I had to drill for the signal holes but I think they come pre-drilled now. I've had mine several years and it is holding up very nicely. I would recommend getting the CF license plate re-locator also. I bought the SS one and it hasn't held up so good. I used some black RTV around the edge to keep rattles down and moisture out. Helps glue it in place. I love it. I had to remove the rear hugger because it would rub the panel every now and then but I think the hugger is ugly anyways so it was no big deal. I was thinking about buying I too was thinking about buying the underseat panel from American Sport Bike. I have a tail bag that straps on with bungee's going under the seat. The bag sits on the passenger spot. If they have the rubber ends on them you'd probably do O.K. I now use those bungees that you can get with or without a tarp at Wallyworld. Single loop with a ball, they'll wrap around each other and don't scratch anything.
