Had to go to Home Depot to get a couple hammers for the cabin we're restoring (the house killed my last wood handle hammer the other day). Figured "hey, it's 55 degrees in January...let's ride a motorcycle".

Cleaned the top of the tank on the S1W, strapped the tank bag on it, opened the fuel valve, pulled the choke, fired right up - and it's been sitting for about six weeks in a cold, lonely garage. Let it idle to warm up while I went inside and got a bath towel (shh...don't tell my wife) to put in the bag to wrap the hammers in so they didn't ding the paint, suited up, and headed out for the 25 mile round trip to the 'po. Got 2 nice 16 oz Estwing's for under $40.

I've missed that bike.....been letting it sit too long. : )

And, to reward me: the bike made my wife find the well that was dug on this property 25 years ago and never used. Finally, we found the 6" steel pipe on 44 acres. Needle, haystack. DONE, woo-hoo! (that saves about 10k in fees and permits).

(sigh) time for another 'rita, LOL.

I believe in Bike Karma.
Bad example, don't test ride a bike while being followed by a friend on your own bike.
Your old bike will get jealous and punish you by washing out in a corner and wrecking.

Not_purp: Not too far off.

Had My bud test ride my (ex) S2 while I rode his S3. His S3 ended up REALLY dying on a trip shortly after.

Always felt it important it let my old S2 know how special it was after riding another.
