1. What gaskets do i use when i mount this new system to my heads, screamin eagle?
2. The flanges on my stock exhaust look bad does the new system come with new ones?
3. Should i get new studs and install them are there better stainless steel studs?

The D&D system has new flanges Blake. You have to use the screaming eagles. The stock ones will not allow the headers to seat properly. Depends on the condition of your studs, mine were pretty messed up on the front cylinder and I replaced them. The back cylinder I just put new nuts on. You'll be happy, makes 'em sound the way they were meant to.

When tightening the system, slip fit everything from flanges to exhaust tip, but do not tighten a single bolt. Tweak it until it fits without putting any side loads on hangers and header bolts, that's when you know it's straight. Start at the flanges, tighten them to factory spec, and work your way down the system following the exhaust flow.

Don't replace the head studs unless you have to. Pulling threads out of the head is a possibility when you remove the studs; I never remove threaded pieces from aluminum unless I absolutely have to. Run a tap down the threads if you have a couple of threads that are boogered, but only replace the studs as a last resort. Following the procedure above will help prevent broken studs down the road.

Enjoy the new sound, and don't forget to re-jet!

Got a related question...

I bought the D&D for my 00M2, but I dont have the updated front hanger(Y). The muff came with all the hardware and a very large rubber piece that looks as if it would make up for not having the new hanger...

Anyone else get this piece in their kit?

Let me know when it comes in.
Looks to me like the big rubber nipple AND the new Y hanger would throw it too far out there.....

Travis I think that rubber piece must have been for shipping, I have no rubber pieces on my system, anywhere. Definitely need the newer Y-hanger.

Dumb question...do I remove the red "condoms" off the muff mount tabs before installation, or should I punch out a hole and slip the bolts through?

And...what bracket do I need to secure the rear of the pipe to the bike???
-I recieved NO instructions with my kit. Just a pipe, elbow, clamps, and a couple of nuts and bolts.
