if i can get a set of STAGE 3 NALLIN HEADS for $500 and its local so i can browse before i buy, they are on an m2 with t-storm heads like mine if i plan on a 1250 kit full d&d exhaust and a bigger mikuni carb, would this be to big of a motor for a 42? but more importantly should i buy the heads or not how good of a deal are they.

42 works fine on a 1250 with heads etc. Got one on my S-2 with all the goodies. Just had to up slow jet, change needle clip, and up main jet a bit.I am sure a 45 would make more power but I still get 50+ mpg on rides.

If these heads are in good shape that is an excellent price. Now I would expect a loss of some bottom end with these heads.

You'll want to find out what springs are used and what spring pressure, rockerarm config and cams the heads were setup for, then make sure it will work for your configuration. A 42 will work fine with proper tuning/jetting. Heck I still run a CV40 with a 1250 kit.

Owch! I hate that when it happens to me, but how do you know about pricing used parts? Selling or buying, you only know after it's missed or somebody gets there feelings hurt cause there offer wasen't what was expected. I'm selling some X1 stuff in the classifieds and I find it hard to turn down an offer without maybe insulting without intention, I just want a fair price, but my ignorance makes it hard to know if I'm giving it away or asking too much.

42 is great with the 1250...
In fact I had to shave the head a little to get it to fit...

Don't know if a 45mm would fit anyway..

Yeah I would of took the heads too...

Thats about the only other thing I can do with norm aspiration....

a HSR45 will fit, just like the 42. Maybe a little over kill for the street unless you are looking for top end but that will cost you at the bottom.
