I have been toying with selling my bike for about 5 months...finally decided and Duckbuell and his brother are making the drive from Texas out to get it. Glad to know that it will be going to a good home. I figure that someday after my kids are bigger and my wife wants to ride again Buell will have another touring bike out...then I will be back. but until then, thanks to all that have helped me out with the little things, and Blake...keep this site going strong. There are not very many other places that are quite as nice to visit on the web!

here are a couple of shots just because...

Jason,
I know you've struggled with this for a long time. Right or wrong, sometimes it's just good to finally come to a decision. I know watching that thing disappear around that last corner for the last time is going to have an impact, but you are right, another bike for another day.
On the bright side though Duckbuell's brother has been needing one for a long time, I think it's going to a good home.
You've made a decision based on your feelings for your family responsibilities and everybody knows you love your Buell too. What I'm trying to say is you still belong to BadWeB, don't let that go too, you may have serious withdrawal issues.
Take care of those kids, and when they get older and you've got that million dollar policy paid up, maybe I'll see you on some road between California and Tennessee.
Rotzaruck!!!!!

Sound decision based on rational thoughts are nothing to be ashamed of. Sad day for you but, better days lie ahead with or without a bike. Be sure and chime in when you feel. Once a Bueller, always a Bueller. Best wishes to you.

Thanks guys. Rotzaruck, you are correct...this is definitely something that I have been fighting with for quite a while. Ride...don't ride...sell it...don't sell it...But when it all comes down to it, I look at my two little ones and remember that I need to do things for them. Later I will have my chance to do things for myself.

Packing up all of the little things that are going to go with the bike was tough...really made me want to call the whole thing off. I guess it is a good thing that they have already been on the road for over 12 hours and were getting close.

I will still be posting here...on general thoughts, keeping up with Buell, and keeping my eye out for my next Buell (when the time is right).

Thanks for all of your guys words...oh and Rotza...I will be sure to keep my eyes open.

I'll post up pics of it going away, and of the new happy owners!!

Jason

It's official. My Buell is gone. Patrice and Christian arrived, test rode, loaded up, and headed back to Texas. Glad to know that it is going to a good home...and Christian, don't forget...if you ever decide to sell it, I get first dibs!!!

And Essthree remember, you're not out of the club. You just don't have a Buell in the garage right now!

Essthreetee,
I just bought my 2000 s3t in September after 20 years away from bikes. In 1987 I too made the decision that with two babies at home, I needed to realign my priorities. Now I am back. I love my bike,I love riding again, and I think the BadWeb and the Buell community are outstanding.I'm sure when circumstances allow, you will be back on two wheels too. Good Luck !

Yeah, it seems like this is not a rare thing. I have come to find out that my parents did the exact same thing.
I am sure that I will be back...and back on a Buell.

By the time you're ready to jump back in, all the bugs will be worked out of the 1125R!
