I have already saved myself a bunch. I dumped my bike on the track 2 years ago. Fortunately, I was using a "spare" tail section and did not destroy my stock Volcano grey one. Now I have 3 tail sections, 4 windscreens, 3 tanks, and 2 fenders. This includes the original Volcano Grey set and a complete Blue set I have pieced together. I also have a swingarm, extra triple trees, both PM and Stock rims (I would like to chrome the stock ones), spare header, the stock exhast can, and a box of misc. parts.

So how much did I save? The tail section I bought of ebay for $55. To replace mine at the dealership would have been $500+.

Now I have a question.

Are the rear inner fenders the same on a '98 S1 as they are on a '99 X1? I'm going to assume they are since they share the same swingarm but I also know what happens when I assume.
I don't want to bid on this thing and it wind up not fitting.

Unless I'm missing something posted earlier... those swingarms aren't identical. The S1 uses the steel arm and the X1 has the aluminum one.

the rear fenders are different. As dj said, the swingarms arnt the same.

nice bike,have the holes in the rear pulley been machined larger ?if so how did you go about it?
