I wanted a little shorter reach and got some used S3 bars on ebay. There are lots of threads here saying they "drop right in" with some cable "re-routing." Can anyone with some experience weigh in?

I'm having a good bit of trouble with the clutch cable. I took up most of the slack at the bottom and tweaked the little cable guide at the clutch mount, and finally got it where it was barely not binding, but it still just rubs on the instrument cluster.

I'm worried about bending it to too tight of a radius at the clutch lever mount and the rubbing from the cluster. I also noticed a spot where it had rubbed down to the armor on the frame in years past. I'm also worried about getting enough slack in the wires (I already had to remake the headlight wiring harness due to some cracked wires and they all feel so brittle).
