Author Message   Steveshakeshaft Posted on Sunday, September 30, 2007 - 03:51 pm:        I've looked 3 times in the 91 RS1200-5 parts book and I cannot see a part number for the clutch cable. The bike has Sportster throttle cables and Sportster switches/lever sets. Presumably it uses a Sportster clutch cable of the same vintage, anyone have a part number please? Thanks.   Leftcoastal Posted on Sunday, September 30, 2007 - 04:21 pm:        Pretty sure it's the same as the S2. #38619-88A (from S2 parts book) The Sportster part that might be the same ends in 'TA' and is for the '86-'95 XL models with low handlebar. Measure the length - overall, and the portions at each end of the adjuster, and match accordingly. The ends will be the same for the XL and the RS as they are the same motor and hand control units.
