I need tires and am considering the Scorpions. They are the ones that come on the current City and Ulysses models. Any feedback? Maybe another tire you might recommend? I drive semi-aggressive and would like to have decent treadlife.

They are great tires. Mine had incredible mileage, the best wet grip of any tire I've used, they warm up quick...just stay off the race track and they are a great tire.

I use the Metzeler sportech M1s and I love them. They have good tread life so far, and really have good grip.

They are my favorite tire for the 9sx. Lots of stick, decent wear, and they won't freak out if you suddenly find yourself on dirt, grass, or gravel.

Wile - for now I am just running the Scorpion on the front. As soon as I get some cash on goes the rear. I want the 180 on asap. I will keep you informed. They sure have a aggressive looking tread pattern.

For those of you that have tried some of the different tires, could you share what kind of mileage the tires have given and your riding style during that mileage?

I don't push my Buell hard so I feel like I'm wasting the sport tires. I think I would be satisfied with a standard or touring spec tire in the Buell tire sizes if I could get them.

I haven't varied from the stock Dunlop sport touring tires other than the update from the 205 to the 208 but if I can do better than 5,000 miles on a rear and 10,000 on a front...

I had the D205's on my M2, and the Scorpions on my XB9SX, but my guess is the Scorpions will outlast the D205's.

They will definitely outlast a D208, I bet they go twice as far.

I suspect they will outlast Metzler MeZ4 as well, it would be close with an MeZ6 (which was also a nice tire).

I get about 6500 miles on a rear scorpion sync with my 9sx.

Thanks Reepicheep, thats what I was looking for. I've seen the Metzler 880s listed in the right sizes and they're supposed to be high mileage tires. I'll take all of the already acquired data I can get before my next tire purchase.
