I was using a Fluke 70 and at 85deg.F I read 44.7k ohms. According to the manual that would be at about 70deg. I keep getting distracted so I don't spend much time working on it.
When I broke the lead off on my sensor before it ran ok until I accelerated hard. I pulled the lead off and got an engine light so I don't think it's the sensor.
Tomorrow I'll swap ecms and if that doesn't do it I'll drain my tank and put fresh gas in it.
So far I haven't found any bad grounds, broken wires or anything obvious. I rode my son's Blackbird tonight to our club meeting. I shouldn't do that, that power is intoxicating. |

So far no luck but I think I have it narrowed down.
1) Compression test - 130#ea. - ok
2) Replace intake seals
3) New spark plugs
4) New fuel filter
5) Fuel pressure - ok
6) Check all connectors - ok
7) Check plug wires, coil, spark at both plugs - ok
8) Head temp sensor - ok
9) Reinstall stock ecm - same problem
So it still runs like crap so I start it up and check each cylinder head temp with temp gauge, hmm, front - 140deg, rear - 210deg, check exhaust pipes, same results.
I'm thinking maybe I have a bad injector. |

Brad,
I was hoping to have it running by Tuesday since I'm coming up to Eagan to help the kids refinish their floors. I want to do a TPS reset.
I am going to swap the injectors, Front to rear, since the cleaning didn't seem to fix it. If that doesn't swap the missing cylinder to the back then I'll know it must be in the wiring.
I'll give you a call Wed. after I have a better idea how the refinish is going and we can get together. |
